A big moment for Nepal as they’ve been announced as the official host of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, as a total of 10 teams will battle each other for the 4 remaining spots in the World Cup group stage.Â
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Kathmandu
The event will be hosted at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu from January 12 to February 2. The Qualifier format includes a Super Six stage followed by the Final. The full schedule and fixtures will be announced soon.

Teams like Bangladesh and Scotland have earned direct qualification after they featured in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. While Nepal and Thailand have earned qualification through the Asian regional team, along with the USA, which secured its qualification via the American regionÂ
The remaining five teams will come through regional qualifiers, two each from Africa and Europe, and one from the East Asia-Pacific region, once their tournaments are completed.Â

England & Top Teams Confirmed for 2026 T20 World Cup; Schedule Announced
The top five teams from the T20 World Cup 2024, hosts England, and the top three ranked sides among the remaining participants have already sealed their spots for the mega event.
The main event schedule, which is hosted by England and Wales in 2026, has been announced as the tournament begins from June 12 to July 15th, with the hosts England taking on Sri Lanka and India will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on June 14 in Edgbaston.Â
